L'Association des Artistes Coréens du Québec (AACQ) a été fondée en 1983 par un collectif d'artistes immigrants coréen canadiens. Depuis sa création, l'AACQ s'est solidement établie en tant qu'organisation artistique de premier plan au Québec, Canada, et est devenue l'un des groupes d'artistes immigrants coréens les plus actifs en Amérique du Nord.
L'AACQ s'engage dans un éventail diversifié d'activités artistiques et éducatives, notamment : L'organisation de visites de galeries, de séminaires artistiques et d'expositions annuelles ; La facilitation d'expositions sur invitation et de commandites pour les Coréano-Canadiens de deuxième génération ; La collaboration avec divers artistes sur des projets d'exposition ; L'organisation de concours d'art pour enfants sur une base annuelle ; Le développement et la mise en œuvre de programmes artistiques pour le service communautaire et l'éducation artistique bénévole.
À travers ces initiatives, l'AACQ continue de promouvoir la croissance artistique, l'échange culturel et l'engagement communautaire dans le paysage artistique québécois canadien.
The Association of Korean Artists of Québec (AKAQ) was established in 1983 by a collective of Korean-Canadian immigrant artists. Since its inception, AKAQ has firmly established itself as a prominent fine arts organization in Québec, Canada, and has become one of the most active Korean immigrant artist groups in North America.
AKAQ engages in a diverse range of artistic and educational activities, including: Organizing gallery tours, art seminars, and annual exhibitions ; Facilitating invitational exhibitions and sponsorships for second-generation Korean-Canadians ; Collaborating with various artists on exhibition projects ; Adjudicating children's art contests on an annual basis ; Developing and implementing art programs for community service and volunteer art education.
Through these initiatives, AKAQ continues to foster artistic growth, cultural exchange, and community engagement within the Qubecois Canadian art landscape.
